At Lighthouse, our commitment to improving people’s optical health does not stop just for our patients, our local area or even our country!

Do you have old spectacles in good condition that you don’t use anymore? Drop them into our collection box at the reception desk. They will be checked to ensure they are in good working order, cleaned, sorted and shipped to a third world country.

Inspired by Fred Hollows and Mother Teresa, the optometrists at Lighthouse will themselves travel periodically to Africa, Asia and the Pacific to provide eye care and fit your donated glasses to the poorest of the poor.
